We are situated in the Old Haymarket area of the City right in the heart of Liverpool. To celebrate our official launch we are offering a one day only promotion for visitors of the new store. Our Beautiful Clients

Bonjour Rougettes,

Here at the So Coco Rouge studio we love nothing more than spending the day working with our beautiful clients, helping them to achieve the look they want and  having a little bit of a cheeky gossip over a nice cup of tea. Over the past few weeks we have been lucky enough to work with some fantastic and gorgeous people and we have loved every second of meeting and working with them. So this blog piece is dedicated to introducing you to some of our beautiful So Coco Rouge clients.

Firstly we had the pleasure of styling Alice Barlow aka Rae from Channel 4's hit soap Hollyoaks before she headed down south to London for the annual British Soap Awards. Alice was nominated for the 'Best Storyline' award and wanted to be throughly pampered before hitting the red-carpet. We think the nude and grey sultry eyes complement her bronzed, peachy cheeks and pink lips perfectly. And finally to finish the look we tonged and clipped the hair to give that gorgeous lightly tousled look. Perfect for appearing before the flash bulbs of the paparazzi!



Secondly, on 11th May our studio was visited by the fantastic all girl group Indigo City. We had a great time meeting these beautiful ladies and styling them before they headed off to Chester Races to present the winners horse. The studio was truely buzzing as the ladies arrived bright and early to be given the So Coco Rouge treatment. They gave us major style envy as they coordinated and finalised their outfits for the day inbetween having their make-up done! And we were dying to sneak along with them! These girls are not only beautiful but very talented and have lots of exciting things coming up in the next fews months including headlining at Chester Rocks and performing at Crewe Live. Their new single is great and avaliable to view on YouTube and we know they are going to be huge!

Lastly So Coco Rouge were so excited and honoured to be asked to work on a Sky Documentary with none other than Alan Cumming. Known for his roles in X-Men and The Good Wife, Alan was here to film as part of a documentary that undercovers secrets of cities throughout England and climbed the Liver Buildings as part of his trip to Liverpool. We were delighted to work as part of the crew during their time filming in the city and Alan was an absolute pleasure to work with! We can't wait to see the finished article on our screens in August!

As well as these lovely clients we have also had a ball helping brides get ready for their big day, making over all the school leavers for their proms and end of year parties and taking part in photo shoots both here in the North West and also in London. We truely have the best job in the world and get to work alongside some of the best people each and everyday! Thank you for supporting So Coco Rouge and remember the futures bright the futures rouge!!

And The Winner Is.... It's So Coco Rouge

Hello Rougettes,

We are extremely excited to be writing this blog. Following on from the previous blog we attended the award ceremony for The English Hair and Beauty Awards 2012 at the Midland Hotel, Manchester on the 6th May. We had a fantastic night at the awards and got to meet many people within the industry that we truely admire. The second award of the night was for 'make-up specialist of the year' which we are proud to announce WE WON!! After being presented with our award by fellow Liverpudlian and beauty queen Rachelle Perez and delivering an oscar worthy acceptance speech, we were whisked away to be interviewed and photographed by the press. We finally returned to our table and settled down to enjoy our meal and toast our victory thinking that we had experienced far too much excitement for one night and still as giggly and happy as a teenager at a Justin Beiber concert.

As the final award for the night was announced we were shocked to hear So Coco Rouge called out again... we had been crowned 'North West Beauty Salon.' We couldn't believe that our clients had voted and nominated us for not only one award but two. Your support for us is amazing!! We were nominated in both categories alongside businesses that we really respect which made us even more grateful. Thank you so much for all your votes and i'm sure you will all agree the awards look fantastic taking centre stage in So Coco Rouge HQ!

Award Nomination

Bonjour my little Rougettes,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! We can't believe its Monday again already :( but it's back to work for yet another jam packed week here at So Coco Rouge HQ.

We simply had to write today's blog piece to fill you in on our exciting news...... We have been nominated as 'Make-up specialist of the year' at the up and coming English Hair and Beauty Awards. We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated as these awards are based on nominations from the public and so we would like to thank all our beautiful Rougettes for your unwavering support and for showing us that you have truely enjoyed the work that we do and it is fantastic to be recognised for all our hard work!

The awards will take place on Sunday 6th May at the Midland Hotel, Manchester and are also in aid of a great cause having colloborated with The Katie Piper Foundation as their official charity partner. It is great to see an awards show that not only takes into consideration the views of the customers and clients using these hair and beauty services daily across the UK but that also promotes a positive message about the idea of beauty and we couldn't think of a more fitting role model than Katie Piper!

So thanks again Rougettes it really does mean the world to us and fingers crossed we will be bringing another blog-post to you very soon announcing our success at the awards!

It's been a busy few weeks here at So Coco Rouge HQ but finally we are able to fill you in on all the juicy details from the 'Find The Face' final and introduce you all to our beautiful winner plus fill you in on everything else that been happening over here in the office. After pigging out on all our Easter eggs we finally got back to business with our 'Find The Face' final.

The final took place on Tuesday 10th April at the gorgeous Clove Hitch on Hope Street right in the heart of Liverpool City Centre. With 10 stunning finalists choosing a winner was always going to be a tough job for our fabulous judges Jemma Volp Fletcher (PR Director of Think Publicity), Caz Moss (The Style Factory) and Michelle Wilson (MSW Photography). Our finalists were put through their paces in the form of a model casting. Firstly they were photographed upon arrival before being grilled by our judges and finally the girls were asked to remove all of their make-up and a few shots were taken of them 'sans maquillage' or how you would say fresh faced!

After many hour of deliberation our judges finally decided that they couldnt pick just one winner! So it is our pleasure to introduce you to our overall winner and 'wild card' finalist Zara and close runner up J'Nae who will feature with Zara in some of the ad campaigns this year. I'm sure you will agree the girls are simply naturally stunning (we have major skin envy too!) We are so excited to be working with these two lovely ladies and we can't wait to show you their So Coco Rouge adverts soon!

Also at HQ this month we've been busy making over plenty of beautiful blushing brides and brides-to-be ready for their special days. We hope they all have the day they've always dreamed of and we look forward to making over those girls who catch the bouquet! We were also very busy making over some gorgeous girlies ahead of Ladies Day and the John Smith's Grand National! And lastly we had a great time helping some of the cast of Hollyoaks get ready for the National Soap Awards this weekend. Good luck to all the cast and crew at the awards!

'Find the face' excitement + Our brand new twitter page :)

Hi Rougettes!


Over at So Coco Rouge HQ excitement is in the air. We can't wait for the Easter bunny to leave a few eggs in the office! If there's one thing we love the most (make-up aside) it's chocolate! But this Easter isn't just all about the chocolate for us.... As the closing date for our 'Find the face' competition is Good Friday and the finalists will be announced on Easter Sunday. The winner will win not only a years supply of make-up and a professional modelling portfolio but they will also win the opportunity to be the face of the So Coco Rouge brand for 2012! We are very excited to welcome another person to the Rouge family and we can't wait for the grand final on Tuesday 10th April! Keep checking back on the blog for a behind the scenes glimpse of the winners photo shoot and an introduction to our new member of team Rouge!


In other news we have also launched a brand new twitter page @SCR_Tips so that all our faithful Rougettes can get daily beauty tips that will help you to both feel and look fabulous! You can also tweet us any burning questions you may have and we will try our best to get back to you straight away with handy and helpful hints to help you feel beautiful!

THE ROUGE REVIEW VOLUME X

Welcome back my little Rougettes

So what has been going on in the world of Ruby Rouge?? Well firstly it was a busy day on hope street with the annual Christmas fair in which lots of stalls where set up in Blackburn house and there was plenty on offer from Zoe Photography, Craft stalls and face painting!!! A good day was had by all!!

With us edging closer and closer to the festive day that is Christmas there are many Christmas parties in full swing!! The one time of the ear that is totally acceptable to get drunk in front of your boss and photocopy a picture of your own bum!! (No I'm only joking) But on a serious note this is the time of the year when you can get your glam on in front of the people who see you day in and day out in your normal clothes and boring hair and Make-up!!! SCR Studios has been booked up for the season giving ladies a full on glam makeover for their annual night on the tiles!!

It was a particularly special time last week when we travelled to Great Yarmouth for the Premiere Sports Launch of the Greyhound premiere League!! We were on hand all evening for all of the Presenters to make sure that they looked their best on camera!! Robyn was lucky enough to make it on screen herself handing over a trophy for the second race of the evening!!

SO SPOTTED

So with the party season in full swing we have been extremely busy here at So Coco Rouge not only nationally but internationally as well!!

The Rougettes have been spotted SCR Studios, Blackburn House, Shrewsbury, Oxton, New Brighton, Great Yarmouth, Old Hall Hotel, London City Centre, Canning Street, Hope Street Hotel and even the depths of New Zealand and New York!!! More to come on this exciting news.
